Ah-Saa-EE Cafe

If you’re craving healthy, vegan goodness and find yourself in the Silverado Ranch area in Las Vegas, run (seriously) to Ah-Sah-EE Cafe. The healthy vegan restaurants opened late October 2018 and is one of the city’s hidden gems for fast-casual fare that’s nourishing and packed with flavor.

Using locally-sourced and organic (when possible) ingredients, owner Sheila Louison has created a standout vegan restaurant for açai bowls and smoothies. Ah-Sah-EE Cafe is an all-vegan restaurant serving healthy food in Las Vegas. For more vegan options in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

If you prefer to get all those nutrients through a straw (hey, bring a glass or metal one and help save the earth!), there are six smoothies to choose from. Our top pick: the Green Goddess loaded with kale, spinach, green apple, pineapple juice, pineapples and fresh ginger. Other smoothies include the Ah-Sah-EE signature smoothie with aćai sorbet, peaches, mango, strawberries and either açai or pineapple juice, Piña Coco with pineapples, banana, shredded coconut and coconut cream and the Choco Cacao with cacao, bananas, dates, almond butter, chia seeds and almond milk.

You can boost smoothies with a choice of ginger shot, chia seeds, flax seeds or plant protein, too.

The star of the show at Ah-Sah-EE Cafe are the bowls. You can either build your own with açai sorbet, granola, three fruit toppings and a choice of coconut chips or cacao nibs, or order one of the six bowls off the menu. The Ah-Sah-EE Signature Bowl tosses in aćai sorbet with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, granola and chocolate chips. There’s also the Blue Ocean, if you’re looking to get a little different bowl experience. This one comes with blue spirulina, bananas and almond milk and is topped with banana, chia seeds, chia ginger cereal and coconut chips. The one we couldn’t stop eating is the Nutty Butter Bowl made with bananas, dates, almond milk and a peanut butter chocolate sauce, topped with a fat dollop of peanut butter, sliced bananas and almonds and cacao nibs.

For a lunch treat, the spicy kale wrap is where it’s at. It’s made with kale, cherry tomatoes, nutritional yeast and avocado and comes with the best basil aioli we’ve ever experienced.

Bonus: Ah-Sah-EE also has vegan pastries, including a gluten-free brownie.
